Philipine Vinke

June 13 and 14 duo exhibition with poetry by Philipine Vinke and visual stories by Menna Kruiswijk.

Philipine Vinke of Vierhouten writes. In the 1990s she wrote light verse. She recited them herself on a weekly Saturday night program for Local Radio Nunspeet. In the 2000s, she wrote two self-help books for home buyers and sellers. She also wrote columns.

Around 2017, she made a foray into visual art. She used glass, mirrors, gold leaf and epoxy to bring the story of bubbles into society, which she called “bubble gilding. In the absence of a studio, she started writing again. Her poems are mini stories. They deal with generations and behavior of people in general. Her observations are relentlessly loving. And still they tell of bubbles in society.

Philipine presents her latest poems visually for the first time. They can be seen on June 13 and 14 along with Menna Kruiswijk’s visual stories.
