On the 14th and 15th, Rido Jansen will be exhibiting paintings and mixed-media works at the gallery.
Rido Jansen from Doetinchem creates paintings, drawings, collages, and objects, and she enjoys working with mixed media. She uses all kinds of materials that she comes across and that pique her interest, such as old books. She’s a collector, so her studio is quite full.
People are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Rido. It is the personal stories that move her, as well as news reports from around the world. This is reflected in various forms, ranging from “heads” and human figures to more abstract forms and works that critique society.
For this exhibition, her work focuses on the shared connection with Ingrid’s work, such as fists, noses, and the entire human body. When you view her work, you can experience emotions, an underlying sense of unease, and the urge to stand up for yourself.
